Britain’s Favourite Walks

- January 2, 2019 -

Presented by Julia Bradbury and Ore Oduba, Britain’s Favourite Walks: Top 100 showcases the finest rambles, scrambles and ambles across the countryside and through cities to bring viewers the ultimate guide to the beautiful British outdoors.

Based on the results of the largest survey ever conducted into the UK’s hiking habits, the top 100 have been voted for by more than 8,000 walking enthusiasts.

The programme looks at day walks rather than long distance trails and gives a great idea of the stunning scenery and hikes to be found in Britain. We know of plenty more that surpass many those included in the show – browse these itineraries if you don’t believe us.

The Top Walks in Cornwall (as listed in Britain’s Best Walks)

Lizard Peninsula

Yes it is wonderful but a day is no where no long enough on the Lizard. Try walking from Marazion to Coverack to really explore the peninsula.

St Ives to Zennor

As the first walk in the majority of our listed itineraries, we couldn’t agree more that this should be included in the list. Wild, rugged and wind-swept, this walk really will take your breath away.

Mawgan Porth to Harlyn

Cornwall’s north coast offers exhilarating hiking past some of the Britain’s best beaches. Our St Ives to Padstow itinerary takes you along this walk and plenty more.
